To enable MISTRO Farm5 and the MISTRO Internet Link to work when running Windows Firewall you may need to create exceptions in the firewall.  To do this follow the instructions below:

1. Click Start, and then Control Panel

2. If your computer is set to use the  Category View the following screen will be displayed

3. Click on Windows Firewall

4. If your computer is set to use the Classic View the following screen will be displayed. Double clickWindows Firewall.

5. For either Category or Classic View the following screen will be displayed.  Click on Exceptions.

6.  After clicking Exceptions the following screen will be displayed.  Scroll down the list until you see MISTRO Farm5 and MISTRO Farm Link and put a tick in the box next to them. If either program is not in the list click on Add Program.

7.  Scroll down the list of programs until you see MISTRO Farm 5 and double click on it.  This will return you to the Exceptions window again.  Click on Add Program again and scroll down the list of programs until you see MISTRO Farm Link.  Double click on it to add it to your list of exceptions.  Once you have done this go to Step 

8.  If either MISTRO program is not in your list of programs you will need to add it manually.  First click on Browse.  The following window will be displayed.

9.  Click on the downward pointing arrow at the top of the Browse screen to display the contents of your computer, then double click on the drive where you have installed MISTRO (normally C).

10.   Double click on the MISTRO folder.

11.   Double click on the Farm5 folder.

12.  Double click on MISTROFarm.exe (the filename might just show as MISTROFarm on your computer)

13.  The MISTROFarm program will now appear in your list of programs to add.

14.  Click OK and MISTRO Farm will appear in your list of Exceptions as per the example below.

15.  You now need to complete the same procedure for the MISTRO Farm Link program.  This time when you click on Browse you will automatically be taken to the MISTRO Folder.

16.  Double click on MISTROFarmLink.exe (the filename might just show as MISTROFarmLink on your computer)

17.  The MISTRO Farm Link Program will now appear on your list of Exceptions.

18.  Once you are satisfied that both the MISTRO Farm and MISTRO Farm Link programs are in your list of exceptions, and have ticks next to them click OK to exit the Exception list and close all other windows.
