To enable MISTRO Farm5 and the MISTRO Internet Link to work when running AVG 8.0 Firewall you may need to create exceptions in the firewall.  To do this follow the instructions below:

1.  Right click on the AVG icon in your system tray (this is the area at the bottom right of your computer near the clock).  If the AVG icon is not displaying click the leftward facing arrow to display all of the hidden icons.  The AVG icon is the yellow, blue, green and red square.

2.  When you right click on the AVG icon a menu will be displayed.  Left click on Open AVG User Interface.

3.   The AVG Anti Virus main control screen willbe displayed.

4.  Click on Tools in the Menu, then click on Firewall Settings.

5. The Firewall Settings screen will be displayed.

6.  It is more than likely that your computer will have been configured as a Standalone computer.  If it has, click on the plus sign (+) next to Standalone computer to display the rest of the menu options, then click on Applications.

7.  The Applications are displayed under the List of applications. Click Add to begin adding an application.  When you do this the Page actions window will be displayed.

8.  Type in MISTRO Farm 5 in the Name and Description boxes on the form, and then click on the small box to the right of Path to display the Select Application window.  Click the drop down arrow next to the Look in box to display the contents of your computer.  Double click on the drive where you have installed MISTRO (normally C).

9. Double click on the MISTRO folder.

10.  Double click on theFarm5 folder.

11. Double click on MISTROFarm.exe (the filename might just show as MISTROFarm on your computer)

12. After you double click on MISTRO Farm5 it will displayed in the Path of the Application basic information part of the screen.  You then need to click on the drop down arrow under Application Action and choose Allow for all.

13.  Once you have done this you should then click Apply.

14. You then need to follow the same procedure for the MISTRO Farm Link program.  Add a new application, and this time type in MISTRO Farm Link in the Name and Description boxes.  Click the small box next to Path.  This time when you click on Browse you will automatically be taken to the MISTRO Folder.  Double click on MISTROFarmLink.exe (the filename might just show as MISTROFarmLink on your computer. Then click on the drop down arrow next to Application action and choose Allow for all.

15. Click OK and close all open windows.
