Enabling MISTRO with Trend Micro Internet Security Firewall
To enable MISTRO Farm5 and the MISTRO Internet Link to work when running Trend Micro Internet Security Firewall you may need to create exceptions in the firewall. To do this follow the instructions below:
1. Right click on the Trend Micro icon in your system tray (this is the area at the bottom right of your computer near the clock). If the Trend Micro icon is not displaying click the leftward facing arrow to display all of the hidden icons.
2. When you right click on the Trend Micro icon a menu will be displayed. Left click on Open Main Console.
3. The main Trend Micro window will now be displayed. Click on Personal Firewall Controls.
4. Under Personal Firewall click on Settings.
5. In the Security Level of Firewall Profile area click on Advances Settings.
6. In the Advanced Personal Firewall Profile Settings window click on the Program Control tab.
7. In the Program Control window click on Add
8. In the Description window type MISTRO Farm5, then click Browse
9. Click the drop down arrow next to the Look in box to display the contents of your computer. Double click on the drive where you have installed MISTRO (normally C).
10. Double click on the MISTRO folder.
11. Double click on the Farm5 folder.
12. Double click on MISTROFarm.exe (the filename might just show as MISTROFarm on your computer)
13. Make sure that the Firewall Response is set to Allow, and click OK.
14. Click Add again to begin adding the firewall exception for the MISTRO Farm Link.
15. In the Description window type MISTRO Farm5, then click Browse.
16. Click the drop down arrow next to the Look in box to display the contents of your computer. Double click on the drive where you have installed MISTRO (normally C).
17. Double click on the MISTRO folder.
18. Double click on the Farm5 folder.
19. Double click on MISTROFarmLink.exe (the filename might just show as MISTROFarmLink on your computer)
20. Make sure that the Firewall Response is set to Allow, and click OK.
21. Click OK to close all other open Trend Micro windows
