MISTRO Shed can be used to assist with drafting cows, even if it is not connected to automatic drafting gates. You can use MISTRO Farm to generate lists of cows to be drafted at different milking sessions. In order to view this information in the shed, you need to start what is called a draft session. A draft session tells MISTRO Shed which milking you are about to perform, or perhaps you wish to run a session where you draft cows ready to calve.

When you start a session in MISTRO Shed, the program gathers all the information necessary to tell you which cows should be drafted in which direction. It also gathers the feeding requirements for each cow.  The following sections take you through the steps of starting a session and using the screens.
