Viewing cow events (F4)
When you press the F4 key you are presented with a screen which will report the recent event data for a particular cow in MISTRO Farm. Select the cow you require by typing her number into the white box at the top of the screen.
If you type an invalid number, no information will be displayed. Pressing the F12 key while typing in the cow number will open up a list of the cows on the system. You can move through this list with the arrow keys to find the required cow if necessary.
As you type in the number, if the number matches with a valid cow on the system, her information will be displayed in the grid below as shown in the following figure. With touch screens, a number key pad will be provided for entering the cow number.
The cows calving date is listed under the delete key, and her cell count history is summarised using the dots and dashes system. A single dot is less than 250,000, : is 250-500, H is 500-750, V is more than 750. The peak cell count in the previous and current lactation is also shown.
The grid at the bottom of the screen shows the cow’s recent history. If you find an error, you can use the tab key to move the cursor into the grid, and then you can move the blue bar up and down with the arrow keys. Should you wish to delete an event from a cow simply arrow down to the event in question and press the delete key on your keyboard. You will receive a conformation screen. Press Y for Yes, or N for No as required.
