Installation

MISTRO Wand requires an IBM compatible computer with the following minimum specifications:
                        Windows 98 or later
                        Pentium 150 processor or better
                        128 Mb of RAM
                        60 megabytes of free disc space
                        Bluetooth connectivity
OR

A palm pilot or pocket PC
                        Bluetooth conectivity

Insert the installation CD in your CD ROM drive.  The disk should automatically run, but if you have the autorun function on your computer switched off you will need to go to Start / Run and type in “Drive Letter:\autorun.exe” where drive letter is the letter assigned to your CD ROM drive.  So for example if your CD ROM drive letter was “d” you would type “d:\autorun.exe” and then press the OK key.

You should check the regional settings on your computer through the Windows Control panel. MISTRO works best if you customise the short date format to dd/mm/yy. Get you computer supplier to do this on any new computer you are setting up.

If you have a palm pilot or pocket PC all you will then need to do is synch your device with the computer where you installed the MISTRO Wand software and the application will be set up on the palm pilot/pocket PC

Setting up Com Ports

Before you commence working with MISTRO Shed you need to enter the com port which your Bluetooth connection runs on.

If you are unsure which port this is you can double click on the Bluetooth icon in your system tray, or if there is no Bluetooth icon there, access it through your Windows Control Panel.
